We are a friendly congregation and aim to give you a warm welcome but we certainly won’t intentionally do anything to make you feel uncomfortable. If you have never visited a church before and are feeling nervous, there is no reason to be. God does not expect you to be perfect before you come to church, and neither do we.
We have improved our church building to provide barrier-free access to all. We have a lift to the church hall with a ramp to the lift for wheelchair access. Parking is available within our private car park and we have an accessible toilet as you enter the chuch hall.
We have our own private car park accessible from the road between the tourist information point and church building. When this fills up there is usually plenty of parking available on the streets around the church, and, if you want, on the Coal pier (this tends to require payment).
We sometimes hold an all-age service, but most weeks children are invited to join our Kids Church from around 11 am onwards. However, you are more than welcome to keep your children with you during the worship service if you (or they) feel more comfortable doing that.
There are no assigned seats, please sit where you feel most comfortable.
If you have a Bible and would like to bring it, that would be great. If you don’t yet have a Bible or forgot yours, there are Bibles available for use, and scripture passages are usually projected at the front.
Our services tend to feature times for sung worship, announcements, and a sermon. We sing a range of worship songs from traditional hymns to more contemporary songs, depending on the worship team leading.
Everyone is encouraged to stay around after the service for fellowship together over tea and coffee.
