The Modules

Module 1 – Taking Responsibility for my Faith

This module is primarily devotional and practical with various spiritual disciplines to maintain a healthy faith life. These involve daily Bible reading and prayer, scripture memorisation, memorising the order of the books of the Bible, fasting, accountability, understanding and explaining the Gospel, and considering their character, spiritual gifts, and connection and roles in their local church. The primary goal of this module is for attendees to be equipped to maintain a healthy faith life.

Module 2 – Who is God?

This module primarily explores the nature and person of God theologically and biblically. Attendees will study and discuss Biblical depictions and images of God, the doctrine of the Trinity, evidence for God, and ways of knowing God. The primary goal of this module is for attendees to understand the incomprehensibility of God while recognising there are things of God that can be understood, mainly through the Bible. Attendees should complete this module with greater awe and wonder of God than before.

Module 3 – The Bible

This module primarily explores the authority, inspiration, inerrancy, and nature of the Bible as God’s written word to humanity. The primary goal of this module is for attendees to revere the Bible as God’s written word, understand the doctrine of inspiration and inerrancy, and understand tools for interpreting scripture.

Module 4 – Who is Man?

This module primarily explores biblical foundations for thinking of humanity, in its creation, distinction from the rest of the created order as made in the image of God, purpose, sin, redemption, and glorification. The primary goal of this module is for attendees to think biblically about their existence as made in the image of God, set apart, sinful though redeemed, and awaiting completion.

Module 5 – Discipleship

This module primarily explores biblical foundations and practical discipleship models and methods, focusing on Christ as the ultimate discipler. The primary goal of this module is for attendees to think biblically about discipleship and provide tools to participate in making disciples.

Module 6 – The Holy Spirit

This module primarily explores the nature of the Holy Spirit biblically, theologically, and practically. It will cover the Spirit as one of the three persons of the Trinity, the inspiration of scripture, the works of the Spirit, and practical ways of keeping in step with the Spirit. The primary goal of this module is for attendees to think biblically and theologically about the Holy Spirit and provide tools to help attendees live by the Spirit.
